FOWALL Explores Central Asian Market Opportunity with Site Visit to Dushanbe, Tajikistan
From September 7 to 12, FOWALL representatives traveled to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, to evaluate a potential project opportunity and gain a closer look at the region's construction market.
The visit reflects FOWALL's long-standing interest in Central Asia, a market the company has watched for growth potential but had limited direct opportunity to engage with — until a government-commissioned project brought that opportunity forward.
The project under discussion is a government theater development, with a building envelope predominantly composed of natural stone facade complemented by aluminum curtain wall and window and door systems.
FOWALL's scope of interest centers on the aluminum portion of the envelope, aligning with the company's core manufacturing capabilities.
During the visit, the team conducted an on-site assessment of the project to better understand its scale, technical requirements, and feasibility from a supply and engineering standpoint.
The trip also included discussions with the general contractor's international procurement specialist, with both sides describing the exchange as constructive and informative. No agreement has been reached at this stage, and the project remains under evaluation as both parties continue to assess fit and next steps
Beyond the specific project, the trip gave FOWALL a firsthand view of Dushanbe's construction landscape, an early step in building a better understanding of a market the company has long considered a growth opportunity.
Further market insights from the visit will be shared as they are compiled.
FOWALL will provide updates as discussions around the Dushanbe theater project develop.
